What did you do?

  1. Been introduced to TRANSANA

  2. Uploaded and listened to an audio file using TRANSANA

  3. Transcribe the audio file using TRANSANA

 

What did you learn?

  1. I was introduced to TRANSANA, a software to analyse audio and video data.

  2. Using the given audio file, I played the audio using TRANSANA and learned how to use the keyboard shortcuts to get a better understanding in using this software.

  3. I listened to the audio file, analyzed it and slowly started with the transcription by identifying how many person are there in the conversation, who’s talking and the utterances of each speakers.

 

How did you feel?

  1. I felt great, as I was introduced to a tool which is very useful and I can use it for my studies later on.

  2. This software is pretty easy to use, I can simply jump forward and backward within the audio file, without having to take my hands off from they keyboard.

  3. The basic is the same as SANAKO Study 1200, but this tool is more advanced in term of functionalities, as it allows users to listen to audio while transcribing the audio at the same time. It’s very easy to use to make transcriptions. So, that’s cool.
